As an athlete I have to be in tip-top shape. There is also a time of year called the "off-season." Basically a time where I can get "fluffy" and eat whatever I want. I know all about the cravings, pigging out and packing on the extra pounds. I also know how to get myself back into shape in a short amount of time. With a little dedication and discipline, you too get it right and tight.
The first step is being consistent and clean with your diet. It's not fun but it works and you will see quicker results from your workouts.
This is what I do to start off my "get it right, get it tight" plan. It's not pretty, but your body will thank you in the end. Try this for a week! Keep going if you can.
Breakfast:
One cup of steel cut oats with mixed berries and coconut milk. Steel cut oats will keep you full and are high and fiber.
Lunch/dinner:
Chicken/fish, green veggies, brown rice/sweet potatoes/quinoa.
Snacks:
Smoothies with protein, berries, fruit, coconut/almond Milk with ice. I also add cinnamon for digestion and spinach for an extra boost. Salads are great and yogurt is a great probiotic.
Water! Water! Water with lemon!
This simple meal plan will reset your body and get rid of all the fluff. It's not fun, but it works! It's much easier to achieve your goals when you are putting the right stuff into your body.
